Residence card for non EU spouse of British in France.

Hello,
I am a British citizen living in france for six months as a freelancer. My non EU wife and son joined me in France. I have established as self employed and I even have the carte vitale. I have not paid tax yet to do the yearly returns.
My question is, is it easier to state that I am self employed cos I will require invoice or just declare that I am a jobseeker.
And if self sufficient how much will be required in my French bank account.

For self sufficiency, You will need to show 981,87euros per month as a couple with one child. You will find the information under "ressources suffisantes" on the link above.
