Tier 2 visa extension potential issue... plzzz help

Post by Mawi88 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 2:28 pm

Dear All,

When i first applied for my Tier 2 Visa I have done so via the premium service; during the application process in the premium centre, the case worker was not happy about how my sponsor described the way that the labour test was carried out (basically my sponsor didnt provide sufficient details about the advertisement for the job vacancy). Aftet trying to contact my sponsor's HR (which was not successful), the case worker explained the issue to me and i explained the details of the advertisement and how it was carried out. Eventually the case worker decieded to approve my application.

Now i am due to extend my tier 2 visa, but via the standard service, and i am concerned that the same may issue arises but this time i won't be there to explain it. I know that for extension application i am exempt from labour test, however, i am just concerned that it may re-appear.

I would really appreciate your thoughts on this matter, as i am very stressed about it and i am not sure about what is the best course of action.

If you are extending your visa for the same employer and same job code, you will be fine. What do you need to explain?

Thank you for your reply.

I am worried that they may get confused again about why in the initial COS the advertisement wasn't described properly; and therefore as result they may refuse my extension application.

Your initial CoS has been used hasn't it? if it has then it doesn't exist anymore. They will look at your new CoS, and your CoS will state "no RLMT required as stay in the same job code for the same employer".
