I sent my application for a tier 2 visa last week, but I realise I made a mistake when proving the necessary maintenance funds.
In my application, I only stated one bank for the bank statements (Santander). However, a couple of months ago (within the 3 month period) I had a problem with them in which my bank account was incorrectly closed and it took several weeks until my full balance was restored. Therefore, I did not hold the required funds every single day.
However, I do have another account with another bank (Bank of America) that did hold more than the required funds for over three months. I supplied those bank statements as well, but my application does not state that I provide any statements from any banks other than Santander (i.e. there is no reference to bank statements from BoA anywhere in my application).
I haven't had a decision yet, but I suspect there is a high chance my application will be refused because of this. Therefore, I wanted to plan ahead as to what should I do in case it is rejected.
I've read you have 14 days to apply for an administrative review but I find very little information about this. Would I be able to do that, and just supply a correction to my application stating that I will also be providing BoA as a proof of maintenance funds? If so, would I need to pay the application fee once more? And would I need a new CoS?
Or do I need to reapply from scratch? If my current visa (Tier 4) expires by the time I get the refusal, could I still reapply or apply for an administrative review within the UK and continue working for my employer?
Thank you very much,
Luis
