Continuous year period for ILR application

Post by js13 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 10:07 am

Hello All

I got my tier 2 general visa on 22-05-2013 and entered UK on 04-06-2013. At the time, I was employed in an Indian company, however travelled to UK often before I permanently moved to UK in October 2014. At the time of my permanent movement, xxxxxx advised that my travel to UK before my permanent move would qualify for inclusion in the 5 year period for ILR and thus I should be able to apply for ILR on or before 22-05-2018.
I am now trying to do my own calculations, however seem to disagree with the Deloitte calcs for the first year. Hence, I am finding it difficult to understand when I will be eligible. Could some one please help and advise?
During the period 22-05-2013 to 04-10-2014, I spent following days in UK. Post this date, I have been permanently in UK and my absences are much lesser than the 180 days.

• 04/06/2013 - 14/06/2013
• 28/07/2013 - 30/08/2013 (of these, 16 days were spent in Dublin, Ireland)
• 06/10/2013 - 26/10/2013
• 10/11/2013 - 29/11/2013
• 12/01/2014 - 21/02/2014 (of these, 14 days were spent in Dublin, Ireland)
• 09/04/2014 - 02/05/2014
• 20/07/2014 - 05/09/2014
• 05/10/2014 - moved permanently

Because of my own calculations for the first year seem to contradict from xxxxxxxx advise that I am eligible to apply in May 2018. Can anyone please advise which day they think I would be eligible. Please assume that next 4 years absences are all ok.

Thanks very much in advance.

The pattern of your absences are irrelevant. If you do not have more than 180 days of absence anywhere in the 5 year period, you can apply for ILR
