Switching from spouse visa

Post by Millie1 » Tue Feb 13, 2018 6:45 pm

Hi apologies if this is in the wrong category.

My sons father has been in England for 1.5-2 years on a spouse visa (not with me). Son is 4.
However we have been discussing him moving here to be a family but wondered whether this would be a possibility as obviously his spouse visa will no longer support him here.
Obviously the parent visa requires him not to be living with us so this will not be appropriate.
I have had a quick read of the right to family life but not sure if this would be a suitable route?
I financially do not meet the requirements for a spouse visa but I’m guessing it wouldn’t be allowed anyway!
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!
M
