Evidence of living together for digital nomads

Post by surfandzen » Wed Feb 14, 2018 11:47 am

Hello,
My fiancé and I are Australians, we have lived together in Australia for 4.5 years.
He’s been offered a job in the UK and is eligible for an Ancestry visa.
I would like to apply to join him as his unmarried partner but there’s a big catch.
Eight months ago we took career breaks to travel the world together.
For the past eight months we’ve lived all over the world in various hostels and hotels.
All we have to prove we’ve been together are our joint flight tickets, our passports with matching entry and exit stamps, our online travel blog and our joint travel insurance policy. Our accommodation has mostly been booked online by me or him, so when we have receipts they only show one of our names.
Given the UK Immigration’s strict requirements to show proof of living together it seems inevitable that my application would fail. Has anyone had any similar experiences?
