Just wanted your experience on it...
This forum is great.... Love and respect to all....
Trust me, I do not have the words to say how good this forum is...
My advise to all, do not trust your solicitors too much..... Meet the Criteria........ And get your problem sorted... These solicitors will make you crazy,, they done that with me from 2012 to 2015.
Take care.. All.
Wife is already in France, he will be travelling alone, even if holding a residence card and travelling to join his spouse it's unlikely that the airlines let him board to the Schengen Area without a visa. Anyway the wife is on maternity leave in UK so she is living there, not in France and the Schengen Visa can be issued under the Directive
You don’t need to have ticket you are a family member of a French citizenPhone wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:47 pmDo I need to have my ticket booked before I go for Tls appointment for schigean visa¦¦¦ France

He said that he has a residence card valid until 2020. His wife is a UK resident on maternity leave she only went there to give birth. He holds a book called “Livret de famille” therefore their family has been registered onto the French registry so he should not have problem with the French authorities. That book acknowledge him as husband of his French wife if they are married if not it acknowledge him as father of a French child.mgb wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 6:29 pmThere is a big difference between the UK and the schengen area.
The schengen borders code give visa free entry for holders of a EU/EEA residence card. The directive is not needed.
The problem of the OP is he cannot prove that he is handled as family member of a eu citizen in the UK. The directive is not applicable for a french in France. He can only hope that the french embassy make no problems.
