UK Fiance Visa - Self Employed - Time off from work query

Post by cleo101 » Sat Feb 17, 2018 11:29 am

Hi,

I am a British Citizen and will be sponsoring my fiance to come to the UK, we are looking to send off the application at the start of May this year.

However i am slightly confused about the financial requirements and not sure if i qualify anymore because i recently started self employment work as a locum pharmacist this month and i will make a varied amount of money each month ranging from £1800-3500 so by May i will have 3 months worth of invoices to show.
Also want to add that last year i worked full time with a company for exactly one year and earned £32,500 from Sept 2016-Sept 2017. However from Sept 2017 up until the end of January 2018 (last month) i took a career break from work so i didn't have any income for these 4 months therefore i don't have 6 months worth of payslips to show. I also only have £4k worth of savings, however my parents are willing to transfer me £20k of savings to support the application.

Do i have any chance of applying at the start of May or will i have to wait another 6 months to apply?
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,
Cleo
