Changes in German Long term Work Permit

Is there any changes recently in German Long term Work Permit.
I came to know that it is discontinued. can anybody please confirm as my application is currently in process.
Also what is the alternative if above is true,

I re-phrase my question:
I thing German Long term WP category is not changed to In­tra-cor­po­rate trans­fer (ICT) category.
My company was initially processing my German visa under Long Term WP but now they are processing under ICT
I wanted to know the difference between the two and how will the change affects me in terms of employment constraints.
