Traveling without BRP

Post by samclaw » Tue Feb 20, 2018 3:41 pm

Hi all, this is my first post so I apologise if this isn’t exactly the right place to post. I searched other threads related to my topic but couldn’t find anything so hopefully someone can help me here :)

I lost my BRP and am awaiting for a new one to arrive in the mail. However, I am hoping to travel home to Canada for my mom’s 70th birthday which is in less than a month. Her health isn’t great so I’d really like to make this trip happen.

I’ve read that it’s not advisable to travel outside the UK without your BRP, so I’m wondering if anyone knows any way I can speed up the process of getting my BRP back sooner?

Thanks in advance!
Sam

You can try to escalate it with Home Office.
But be careful and not leave the uk without BRP and enter back as a visitor as it may invalidate your current leave.

Thank you for your reply! In my experience it’s been really difficult contacting the Home Office. Does anyone know the best way to get in contact with them about something like this?
