Renewing Visa After Financial Circumstances Have Changed

Post by harrydilu » Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:28 pm

My Sri Lankan Husband's Leave To Remain visa is expiring soon - it was granted under humanitarian grounds after an appeal. At the time our joint earnings were under the threshold, but now some two years later we own our own company and are above the threshold.

My question is, when it comes to renewing his visa, do we do so on the basis that the original visa was received on humanitarian grounds, and have to prove our relationship and circumstances in Sri Lanka haven't changed etc. Or is it more straight forward and we can fill a form showing our financial situation and relationship status, as if we were applying again for the first time?

Thanks in advance for any help!
