IHS Top Up Required email - Urgent help required

Post by mithunsavla » Wed Feb 21, 2018 9:54 pm

Hello, I applied Tier 2 Extension using company sponsorship for 1 year only as i was short of 1 month on my 5Years ILR requirement. Hence i paid 1 year IHS surcharge and attached it with the application.

I did my tier 2 application on 17th Jan via standard service. I received an email from home office saying i still need to pay £400 for another 2 years as

A change has been made to the details you provided. You need to pay an additional payment of 400.0 (GBP) by 02 March 2018.

What you need to do next

Make the payment (Link provided) of 400.0 (GBP) by 02 March 2018.
If the payment isn’t made by 02 March 2018 your visa application may be rejected or refused, and you’ll have to apply again.

When i click the link, i cannot see any button to pay on the same application.

I tried calling their helpdesk and i got different answers , 1 asking me to write a letter by post to ask them to resend the payment link. Another asked me to register again and repay the IHS surcharge.

I choose the 2nd option to register again and pay the IHS surcharge, which allows me to pay only 1 year as my COS has 1 year only. So i created 2 applications and paid 2 times to make a total of £400.

In total i have paid £200 (earlier) (£400 with 2 IHS applications) = total £600 for upto 3 years category

I am planning to send them a same day signature post with both IHS ref numbers along with my previous IHS ref numbers?

am i doing it correctly, or should i be doing it in a different way? the only best way i thought was this way.

I will really really really appreciate if you can help me ASAP.

my current visa expires on 23rd Feb, hence i will be in a tricky situation if my visa gets rejected for IHS surcharge reason which i already paid for 1 year as brought up by system.
