Contacting citizenship phoneline

Post by Ryy22 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 10:47 am

Hi all,

I was hoping some of you can help me. I called the citizenship phone line and I was told quote "your application has been processed, and you will hear from us in the next 8 weeks" the last part was repeated twice. Has anyone received a response like that before. I really did not want to push for more details but what do you guys think it means.?

Hi, I got the same answer when I called them. I’ve applied since last year February. I think our letters are coming soon.

I called them for the first today,

I just have the feeling they are just sitting on many people Approvals .

By the way approval was sent to me by Processing Team 3 .

Woman on the phone whispered why approval was sent to me because my GNIB expire in April. And she went to check with the guy who sends approvals , he said i should send my doc if there is any issue they will let me know .

The prayer in this process should be that your applications goes by good hands most of us are people of good character (i believe).

One quick question, is there any difference between Processing Team 1, 2 and 3?

I got First letter + request more documents from Team 1

Then Second Stage letter was from team 2

Approval from team 3

No sure if this is the same from everyone

Yeah, I think it's a bit different because my friend got a letter after 2 days of sending her application from team 3 requesting more docs.

What surprised me is that she got a response from them after 2 days!!! Never seen something like that

I hope so, I do believe most of us are genuine people. They haven't even announced ceremony yet so I'm automatically assuming there is delay for some reason.

Now they are giving same answers but are not going into detail as well has me confused

Did they tell you anything else. I don’t think they are allowed to much detail but sometimes they let things slip. Good luck to you too

Yes I believe this too. I’m just so anxious. Have they said to you anything about ceremony date, maybe that’s why they are not worried about your gnib

Hi,

I too had a conversation over the phone two weeks back and I got the answer from lady "Its at the final stage, then she said Your application has been processed and you will hear from us shortly". However, I still didn't get any approval letter :). Hopping to get the approval letter in due course. To let who don't know the first ceremony for 2018 will be on 21th May.
