Hi I am planning on bringing my son and girlfriend to visit in the UK. But I have a couple of issues and would really appreciate any advice anyone can give me.
The first that we currently live in Moscow I have a multi entry business visa which works well as I work for three weeks back in the UK and spend the other three weeks in Moscow. But my girlfriend who is from Kyrgyzstan does not have a visa at the moment. the rules are that she should only be there for 90 days out of 180 but she says that the Russians do not take account of that rule. But I am worried that when we come to apply for her visa for the UK they will notice as the options on the application are
1.I have a temporary visa
2.I am a permanent resident
3.I do not have a visa and I am not a permanent resident
we will be making the application when she returns from Turkey so it will look as though she has 90 days on her visa. Should i selected option 1 and just put the end of the 90 days period? Will the UK side be interested in her visa situation in Russia?
The second problem I have is applying for my sons passport. According to guidance note 3 table A we need to provide these
"two documents which show both your name and address and/or proof of residency"
"One of the documents provided should show a link to the parent applying and show that the child and parent are resident where they are applying from"
This is difficult for us to obtain. not least as our land lord wants paid in cash and the Russian government does not seem to send anything by mail. Well at least not to us.
Is there any way to get my son to the UK with out a British passport and make the application on our trip to Scotland?
Sorry I know this a long question but I don't know where to turn to with these problems. I almost forgot to mention I am a British citizen so my son is British by decent.
