Stage 2 letter query

Hi ,

Is it necessary that all applicants will get stage 2 letter. Has anyone directly got the final approval not receiving the second stage letter at all.

I think it is. The whole second stage is check any criminal record and all that. I have however heard that people got a minister decision without ever receiving a second stage letter, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they were not vetted in the second stage. Just probably never notified them what they were doing next with their application.

Hi my friend submitted application and passport returnd with acknowledgement + 2nd stage letter.

From desk 3 , so we should not think about all stages and team's.

I wonder if someone could help me in the following matter.
My wife applied for Irish citizenship, as a spouse of an Irish citizen, in July 2017. We were asked to provide further documentation from Initial Processing Team. We have submitted all those documents. We did not receive any letter for the stage 2, however, last 2 previous correspondence was received from Processing Team 2 and Work Group 2. We are not sure that whether our application is in stage 2 or still with the Initial Processing Team. Could someone help us to suggest that either we are in stage 1 or in stage 2? Your valuable comments and information will be much appreciated.

my application is continues to be processed since feb 2017
friend of mine got his approval within 2 months after he was told his application is continues to be processed
I guy on this form got his approval letter same day he was told his application is continues to be processed a letter was dated 3 days before the date was told where his application is.

My Application was lodged mid August 2017 based on 5 years residency. Passport was returned with letter requesting for further documentation “GP letter etc”. I sent the documents immediately and received an acknowledgment letter. From that date till today I have heard nothing from the department. No second letter, so I’m kind of confused if my application is been looked at all.
