Hey guys

i have 3 parking fines between july-aug 2017

2 were from supermarket where i went over time due to my son

1 was my genuine mistake where i parked/was loading on double line

i was reading new guidance notes which states they wont consider unless its 3 or more.. as i have 3 wud my application be refused ?

also am filing online application where would i mention these
as 3.1-3.2 is crimial offence related and rest is civil penatly and judgements etc

thanks in advance

if you paid the fines on time and there was no court action / enforcement, you will be fine. Dont bother to declare them. Since there is no admission of guilt. Anybody could have driven the car.

Also, the supermarket ones are most likely not even real parking notices, but just warnings issued by private companies. They have no regal rights whatsoever as they aren't issued by the council.

Regardless, PCNs aren't normally a cause for concern. FPNs and NIPs, and other licence endorsements are, however, relevant. NIPs are issued by the police.

Supermarket parking fines are simply payments that you have contractually agreed to pay to the parking company by using their parking facilities. Those are not fines in the legal sense and are not required to be declared. If however they successfully sue you for the unpaid amount and obtain a court judgment against you, then an unsatisfied court judgment may itself become a "good character" issue.

to add the reason m confused us due to this para from aN guidance

Section 3: Good character
3.1 - 3.2 You must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the
United Kingdom. These include road traffic offences.
Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed,
although will not normally be taken into account unless:
• you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result
• you received 3 or more fixed penalty notices at any level
• in the past 3 years you received 2 or more fixed penalty notices, at least one of
which, was at the upper levels (fine of £200 or more)
We will consider the applications against the factors listed in th

first they say FPN then they include parking ticket in brackets

https://www.gov.uk/parking-tickets

if we see info here PCN FPN n private parking tickets are listed separately does that mean we need to declare only FPN as few have mentioned earlier ... sorry guys just reconfirming as dont want to get a 10 year ban for this silly reason and it seems they updated this info recently as the form version is feb/18
