Hi dear members and respectable moderator!
i would like your opinion and experience about email reply as under:
"Thank you for your e-mail. Your application is now with a
caseworker. You will receive our decision within 3 week.
Thank you."
However, please some body let me know how long it takes if the case has been allocated to a case worker.
i really appreciate your input and help as i am traveling 1st week of April.
many thanks in advance and your time

If the email said three weeks once allocated then you've answered your own question.

Which category of visa/settlement have you applied for?

Online or post?

What was your query for which you emailed them?

When did you apply? Had it been more than 6 months now?

It's great to see people are sometimes getting non-generic answers. Please confirm if your timeline is related to your older post quoted and when the question/answer emails were transmitted in relation to your application date:
Applied beginning of November 2017
which means about 3.5 months ago.

I applied 23/10/2017, did biometrics late: 01/12/2017 (second letter) due to Royal mail non delivery of first letter, then mailed the FMT team twice in Dec. 2017 and in Feb 2018, with last response 06/02/2018.

I did get a generic answer on both occasions that it may take a while.

However, on 28/02/2018, I received my approval dated 19/02/2018.

I had emailed them again on 26/02/2018 enquiring about my application status, lets see what they say (after I already got my joint approval and ceremony invitation letter)

Good luck SAM, hopefully yours is on the way too. Royal Mail 2nd class took 9 days to deliver my letter in central London...

Update:
Despite the approval received and ceremony booked, the FMT team today 1/3 emailed me back that my case is with the caseworker and I will hear within 3 weeks.

It seems our experience is the same. Being with caseworker = decision already made

All the best to those waiting! :D

My experience with 2nd class postman and HO 'love affair' is: 9 days for approval letter delivery, first biometric letter not delivered, second biometric letter 5 days.

Hopefully your decision will arrive soon.

Got the same answer before it was decided.

3 weeks (21 days) answer means they most likely have decided already.
