I've been refused 3 times with 31 points, not on the SOL, not PhD level role.
My employer is looking to raise my base salary to £45K-£50K and has advertised the job again at £45K-£50K.
The Lawyer seems to think that with £45K and £50K is under the same points -45 points.
The following is from the Lawyer :
The maximum score for the salary for the recruiters meeting the criteria via the Resident Labour Market test (Advertising) is 25 points and the salary cap is £45,000 to £49,999.99. There are 20 points added for advertising, total 45 points. 25 points is the maximum to be granted in line with the table. The salary cap £50,000 to £54,999.99- 30 points refers to those jobs at PhD level.Nurses score even higher than PhD jobs as they are listed as Shortage occupation jobs and score 130 points plus points for salary.
This doesn't seem to be in line with what I have been reading up on here. But I don't have any official documents to validate my point. (On the home office points guideline page it reads up as the points are capped at £49999 with RLMT jobs.) We are making a new application for April this week so I wanted to see if anyone here can help to validate this so that I have a better chance to get the CoS in April since it doesn't seem like 45 points is going to make it for next month.
Thank you so much!
I was shown that too by a friend on a whatsapp group (may be you were part of the same one if you are a doctor). I found it strange that there was no official announcement about raising the points by the home office or any other immigration website especially since there are a lot of people with scores of 30 and 31.
As the person above responded 45-49k is grouped together at 25 points (we are hoping they seperate them some time in the future).Rosin wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 12:31 pmHi everyone.

RLMT = 20 points
Total = 20 + 25 = 45 points
Salary - £50,000 - £54,999 =30 points
RLMT = 20 points
Total = 20 + 30 = 50 points
Hope this answers your question.

But the thing that was said about 50-54k (30 points) only being for phd level jobs is untrue. A few of my graduate friends salaries have been raised to that threshold to improve their chances of getting a CoS in April.
Where did you read that rlmt jobs are capped at 49999?
Little concerned about the lawyer you are using if they don't even understand the RCoS points table properly. There are 2 sets of points sitting side-by-side, it would probably be a little clearer if they were divided by a bold line in the middle or something that separated them a bit more but the first two columns are one set of points you must qualify under one of those "type of job" categories and the last two columns are a separate set of points that are for the salary. The salary is not related in anyway to the type of job boxes on the left, you just need to score points from both sets of criteria.Rosin wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 2:42 pmHi there.
I didn't read anything about this online, this is from the immigration lawyer....
So was hoping I can find something online to prove the lawyer wrong....

The more I think about it the more I’m thinking this must be a typo/error. It was published back on the 8th (before the most recent allocation) and I’m positive they would have announced this by now - especially considering there are a lot of employers whose plans include hiring people with less points than 32.
Your points will be anywhere between 30 to 45 depending on what salary your HR is putting in the CoS application. I would advise you to request your HR to put your gross salary in the CoS applicayion to increase your chances. If she tells your what salary she has put in your CoS application we will be able to tell you your points.Lujain wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 12:25 pmHello everyone,
I am doctor and my offered salary is between 30,000 to 48,130 £. The hospital has applied for my RCOS since January and it has been under review and didn’t make it through this month either. I am wondering if anyone please has an idea of how things will go in April and if it might get through?, also how much the points will be for next month and according to my salary how many points will I have?? I know it’s 45 points from what I have read in this thread but wanted to confirm.
Good luck to everyone and thanks In advance for your replies.
