Good afternoon,
I am writing for advice for my Husband. He has ILR and lost his wallet with his BRP in it, in transit to Prague last night. He suspects he lost it in Amsterdam and is currently in contact with the lost and found of the airport. They told him, if they find his wallet, they will take the BRP from his wallet and had it into the immigration police or something a long those lines. He has no copies of his BRP which is something we now realise is something we should have done before travelling.
I have been searching all morning for help/answers on this situation.
Can he still travel from Prague to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to the UK without the BRP? He seems to think it will be okay but from what i have read, he should apply for a one day BRP visa straight away and report it as lost ASAP. Or can he be let into the UK with his passport and his fingerprints?
What is the process of a one day BRP visa? How long does it take and will be need to have appointments at the British Embassy in Prague?
Is it correct that on entry into UK without the BRP, there could be a chance of being classed as a tourist visa which may cancel his ILR?
If we report it as lost, and he takes the chance to enter the UK without a one day BRP visa, will it be flagged up on the system when he goes through immigration?
He has no access to money. Sorry for all the questions, i am just super stressing out right now and trying to figure it all out in my head of where to go from here. Any help would be so so grateful.
From a worried wife.
