I was refused an ancestry visa application last March due to a mistake on my application in which I answered a question wrong and was accused of deception. After reapplying and explaining the mistake was genuine I was refused again. Being given the right to appeal I filed the appeal. Court date was set for June of 2018. In December of 2017 I received a letter from the home office saying they mistakenly gave me the right to appeal and were doing an admin review instead. The letter said I requested this admin review Sept 20 2017. I did not request this as my appeal was already filed and paid for. The admin review came back still refused but said there was no deception used and my passport contained no refusal signal. Just last week I got another letter saying the home office has withdrawn their refusal decision and is backing out of the appeal. My lawyer is still pushing for the appeal. Are they trying to just cancel the appeal and refuse me again? Are they going to issue a visa? If there's no deception used and no refusal signal on my passport am I able to travel to the UK again? Very confusing as to where I stand...
