tourist visa for girlfriend

Post by jedrzej88 » Sat Mar 03, 2018 7:57 pm

Hello!

I am Polish and came to work in UK in 09.2015. Since April 2017 I have been in a relationship with Armenian and flying to Poland every second week. In January 2017 she received temporary resident card in Poland (she works there) and can travel in Schengen zone. We would like to be in a situation where she could visit me every other weekend too. Unfortunately, to visit me in UK she needs a tourist/visitor visa.

We are going now through the application process at the moment. The only requirement seems to be filled application form, passport and resident card. However, after reading through many topics it seems that some extra documents would significantly increased our odds at successful application.

My plan is to:
- obtain stamped bank statement from my bank in UK
- copy my tenancy agreement
- obtain letter signed, scanned and send to me by email from my employer stating the fact tham i am their employee
- write invitation letter and describe our situation fully including my frequent flights
- copy of my passport

I will take all these documents with me to Poland this Friday and give to my girlfriend. She will present it to UK official during her appointment at embassy.

She will also submit letter from her employer stating she works for them, her bank statement, passport and resident card.

Could you please advise whether this should be sufficient? Perhaps I should send invitation letter by email to the embassy in Poland? Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you very much in advance.

Jedrzej
