Proof of Knowledge of England Language for dependant

Post by NippyApp » Sun Mar 04, 2018 3:09 am

Hello gurus and seniors,

Thanks for always taking your time to read posts and offering your advises. It appreciated.

My application (and that of my wife) for ILR is due shortly. While we are both preparing for our next application, we would like to seek clarification on proof of Knowledge of England for my wife.

We have both spent the required number of years required for ILR. However, while I had my Master's degree in the UK, my wife had her degree taught in English in our home country.

My question is, we have a plan to get her degree certificate evaluated by UK NARIC, but is it compulsory to also get a letter from the (her) University to confirm the degree was taught in English or what other alternatives are available?

I will really appreciate your response.

Thanks

Yes. They require evidence, as specified in Appendix KoLL, that her degree was taught in English.

Alternatively, take an approved English test at the B1 level.
