My Nigerian bf on a long stay family visa

Post by Harriet55 » Sun Mar 04, 2018 11:54 am

Hi all

My bf is Nigerian and here on a long stay family visa as his parents and siblings are resident here and now have British passports. Unfortunately, he lost his ILR back in 2011 due to a fraud criminal record.

We met last year and he lives and works here. Are we able to get married on this type of visa? We do eventually want children but not if we can’t get married because that is not how we want to live our lives. I am in fear of him going when his visa runs out in two years :( we are already so close and do everything together.

Why have you re-posted this after only a few minutes? Please wait for a response in your original thread.
