Address proof for Life in the UK test tomorrow

Hello,

I’m hoping someone can help me in relation to address proof for the life in the UK exam. On the website it states that address proof should not be older than three months, my husband has his test tomorrow!

He doesn’t have a recent bank statement, nor are we able to find a more recent utility bill, it’s too late to order one now too. The only thing he does have (came in the post today) is a credit card statement. However I’m not sure if this will suffice? As it states a recent bank/credit card statement so I’m wondering if this only applies to a credit card issued by his bank account or will any credit card statement do?

If someone could help with this I’d really appreciate it.

Do you have a driving license - provisional or full ? If Yes, you can use that. My wife ran into same issue as we misplaced the bank statement in the last minute. She used it and no issues.

At what time is the test ?

If you have enough time, go to the brank of your bank and get a statement printed and stamped there with date ( Natwest , Nationwide does).

Thank you for your reply. Yes he has a full driving license but it wasn’t issued within the last three months. He’s with HSBC bank, I will get him to ask the bank to print out his statement and stamp it tomorrow- still not sure it will be enough though. I worry as I’ve heard of people having issues and that they will not accept a drivers license as address proof, only id proof.

All you need is your car driving licence if it has the current address that's all you need.

A recent credit card statement should be okay. In fact, that’s what I used as proof of address and it was accepted.

I passed my life in the uk test last saturday and driving licence with current address is perfectly ok. The three month rule doesn't apply to driving licence.
