BRP Collection Without Travelling to UK

I have received my application decision letter along with the vignette on my passport.
I would like to know if I can nominate my ex-wife to collect my BRP in the UK without me travelling to the UK. I would send her via courier my passport and decisión letter so she can collect my BRP in the post office and then she could send it back to me via courier again.
The reason why i would like to do this is because i want to travel to the UK only when i get a job which I would apply for from abroad. I do not want to travel to the UK just to collect my BRP and then come back home as it so expensive.

It may be possible to nominate somebody to collect your BRP in certain cases, such as a serious illness or disability. But not sure about expensive airfare being the reason.

I don't believe that this will be possible in the circumstances as the entry stamp in the 30 day temporary vignette will trigger the 10 day collection period. The Post Office will check the date stamp before giving the BRP.
