British Citizen on 10 year basic

Post by sumeet5577 » Thu Mar 08, 2018 2:32 pm

Hi,

I want to know when I can apply for British Citizenship?

Enter UK as a Student in 2007.
Switch to PSW Visa in 2010.
Switch to Entrepreneur Visa in 2012
Got Extension on Enterp. Visa in 2015
Got ILR on 10 year Long Residency in Dec 2017.

Someone told me that I can apply for British Citizenship straightway as no need to wait for 12 months.

Please advise!

Are you married to a British Citizen? If yes, then you don't need to wait 1 year to apply

The ILR + 1 year requirement applies to all applicants for British naturalisation, including those who got it on the 10 year Long Residence route, except if they are married to a British citizen, as pointed out by zapzap above.
