extended family member dying of cancer

Bit of a desperate situation my wife who from Indonesia her dads sister her husband is dying of cancer in the neck obv not treated or spotted earlier due to bad healthcare system in her country. my question is..is there anyway to bring him to the uk to get treatment? I think i know the answer but asking on here out of pure desperate as my wife family are incredibly heart broken as he only in his 40s. if anyone can help or advise that would be great.

If you can afford the hospital bill for them, and accommodation, then the answer is indeed a yes.

A visa application will be made in those circumstances for the relative to come and receive the medical treatment he or she needs.

how would you go about it which sort of visa? if wanted nhs cover how would that work? im british my wife came thru ss route and is on a 5yr resident card still

Unfortunately they won't have access to NHS treatment. A visitor visa for medical purposes eligibility is:

You must prove that you:
have a medical condition that needs private consultation or treatment in the UK
have made or paid for arrangements for consultations or treatment
have enough money to pay for your treatment, support yourself without using public funds and pay for your return or onward journey
will leave the UK once your treatment is completed, or when your visa expires
are not a danger to public health if you’re suffering from an infectious disease, such as leprosy
