Query on Tier 2 Dependent visa for baby born in uk

Hi all,
Good Afternoon, I would like inform you that currently I am on tier 2 general visa and My wife is on tier 2 general dependent visa, Our visas are valid until 20/1/2020.My baby is born in uk (on 17/12/2015) went to India on Aug 2016 along with my wife.My wife came back to uk on oct 2016 and my baby has been staying in India with his grandparents since then.we did not apply for tier 2 general dependent visa for baby while going to India from uk as we did not need to apply for it.
I will be eligible for ILR by coming sep 2019 and once I get ILR Then I will apply ILR for my wife as well.
Can I then apply for citizenship directly for my baby who will be in India by sep 2019 or do I need to bring back my baby to uk on tier 2 general dependent visa before applying for citizenship directly..
Please clarify on this..

Thanks a lot for getting back to me..As you advised I would like to apply for my baby's citizenship from India once I have received my ILR in uk. Could you please advise me that what documents/checklist do I need to submit for my baby's UK citizenship from India..
