Post by tapash » Fri Mar 16, 2018 10:58 pm

My wife is an EEA citizen. She and I received our PR in April 2017. Now we would like to accept British citizenship.
I am getting too much confused in word jugglery of gov website of what would be the next application for both of us?
ILR? or Naturalisation?

thanks in advance.

Thanks.
So who is the ILR for?
In the website says non EEA members need to obtain ILR? What am I missing?
had settlement (‘indefinite leave to remain’) in the UK for the last 12 months if you’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

ILR is granted under UK immigration rules - PR is acquired under EEA regulations by EEA citizens and their non-EEA family members. When you got PR you can progress to BC (forget about ILR!).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
