Hi everyone!
I have been following this forum lately and wanted to thank everyone's input, it's been very insightful.
Hopefully someone would be able to advise me on my case
I am a French passport holder.
I am seeking to obtain the Permanent Residence card and understand I need 5 years as a 'qualified' person.
I have been working full-time since Sept 2014 and will need to retain the 'qualified' status until Sept 2019 to qualify for PR.
I have been offered a new full-time role within the UK however have agreed to not start until 4-6 weeks after leaving my current role in between (due to several pre-booked annual leave and wanting to start the new role 'fresh' after all the annual leave is out of the way).
Because I am voluntarily leaving the FT job, and cannot seek JobCentre Plus benefits, what would I need to do to remain considered as a 'qualified' person exercising treaty rights, as I would very much like to avoid having to start from scratch the 5 years countdown.
Fingers crossed someone can provide some input!
Thank you
