Naturalisation online application + travelling

Hi,

I have reading few of the post mentioning the online application and speed up the application a bit more quicker. and i I have heard different version of the story. Hope someone can point me to right place.

I am aware online application is easier to track etc. But I got a slight issue, i probably need to travel in May. I am aware this is probably going to take some time to process my application. So i read some where about the National document return service. Do i need to make the online application first before give the NDRS a ring? How and what NDRS works?

So can i travel after submit the naturalisation application online? I’m not EU, so i have got my ILR with me to enter the UK.

About the referee online, does the paper form version are identical with the online? Because i’m Still waiting for the my referee details according to the paper version. I’m hoping i can submit my application this week.
