Hello, hoping I can get some advice please.
I am a Romanian national who arrived in the UK in late 2009. I obtained an Accession Work Permit and then my Blue Registration Certificate in March 2011 (whilst I was a student). My understanding is that the CSI requirements were introduced in June 2011 and that it includes a special provision for those who obtained residence rights pre- June 2011.
I did not work from 2011-2015, my partner supported me. I had no CSI.
I am afraid to apply for a PR as Romania did not have full EU rights in the UK until 2014. If they decide that my Registration Certificate rights of self-sufficiency were not properly exercised pre-2014, can I be sanctioned with more than just refusal of PR? With unlawful status?
I live in terror as I really do not trust the "settled status" system they are telling us will be no problem after Brexit and I would really like to have a PR in place ideally, but not at the cost of potentially being labelled as immigration criminal.
Thank you.
