Total Gross Pay TD not Matching Salary - by 4p

Post by schmed88 » Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:44 am

Hello All

I am new to the forum.

My partner is currently applying for her SET(m).

I have just received my last payslip for the tax year. The Total Gross Pay TD lists my pay 4 pence short of my agreed salary. I can understand why as my salary of £28,000 breaks down to a recurring number when divided by 12 (£2333.3333333...). The accountant clearly input £2333.33 every to simplify the matter.

I just wanted to check. Is my partners application in any risk due to the Total Gross Pay TD on my payslip being 4p shorter than the salary listed on my contract?

- Should I ask my employer to write a letter explaining this?
- Should I ask my employer to re-write my contract with my annual salary listed as £27,999,96?

If anyone can advise I would be very grateful.
