Scam email or not?

Today I received an email asking me to login to my ukba tier 2 extension application saying that if I do not login, my application will be deleted on April 11th, 2018. We have applied for extension on 10 Feb 2018. So i Called ukba on their number and they said to ignore the email. They asked me to read it out and also asked the email address where it came from. It did not have .gis in it they said. The link itself took us to a page that looked exactly like the application page, worked with my password and inside had the application form but said 'part completed'. In fact all fields were empty. Really worried. Has anyone got such an email?
