Late response to request for additional documents - any success stories PLEASE

Post by Maninderbal » Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:34 pm

Hello !
I would be very grateful for any success stories ( approval of application for British citizenship) after a late response to home office's request for additional documents please!
I received their letter 2 weeks after the deadline to respond with additional documents ! I am able to supply what is required from U.K. NARIC but was wondering if the home office will accept a late reply or all is lost !
I haven't yet received any letters to say that the application is refused.
Many thanks all.

Email your caseworker. Info will be on the letter. They reply after a couple hours... quicker than this forum

Thank you so much for your response. There is no email address on the letter. I have emailed the home office at their generic address at Further Nationality enquiries email. Will try and call them as well, but not sure if they will respond due to the bank holiday etc. :(
Thanks again!

You need to include your your name, HO ref number and your case workers name in the subject field of your email. Yes, looks like it’ll have to be Tuesday now

Yes, did all of that. I'm just dreading now that they may have sent a refusal letter in second class post that I haven't received yet !Thanks again anyways!

Hi again,
My application has been successful ! After I wrote an email to the generic email address, my case worker wrote back to me and I was able to assure them that the documents are on their way and kept them updated. Now just waiting for the invite to the ceremony. I am really grateful that the home office have been reasonable and understanding of the situation ! Thanks so much for your response again! Happy days !
