Dear all,
I would very much appreciate your advice on my chances of obtaining British citizenship. Please find below some details on my background.
* Married since 2002 in the UK, I’m a non EU national, my husband is British.
* Indefinite leave to remain granted in 2003.
* My husband has been employed by large multinational company with headquarters in the UK since 2001 based initially in the UK.
* In 2007 he was transferred overseas to a number of different counties until now accompanied by me.
* We have two children both have British citizenship.
* We return 2/3 a year and have our home in the UK, bank accounts and close family ties.
As I do not meet the 3 year residency requirements, I wonder whether my husbands employment would be sufficient grounds for discretion as the absences were an unavoidable consequence of the nature his work. All other requirements can be met.
Could you please let me know your opinion on whether my application would be successful or be rejected if I was to apply.
Many thanks in advance.
