Dear All,
I am going to apply for my British Citizen passport after naturalisation... I really need some advisce ...... Thanks in advance.
History :
Maiden name documents ~
HKSAR passport
Naturalisation certificate
Deed poll changed back to maiden name
statement to confirm using maiden name
supporting documents (bank, HMRC, DVLA...)
Married name document ~
British National Overseas (BNO) passport
Some research from online :
~A British citizen passport and BNO passport can not be held at the same time
~British National Overseas is one of the six British nationailty
~British National Overseas have right to hold British passport
Different advice :
~Two application (1 for name change BNO, 1 for apply first british passport)
~One application ( for apply first british passport)
~One application ( for change existing passport)
Confusion :
~If BC and BNO cannot be held at the same time, why need to submit two application ?
~If apply first british passport ? BNO is a form of British passport, it means already have one british passport. Why need to apply for the First passport ?
I am thinking I should cross the box on the application form, section one, change the existing passport to :
New name (from married name to maiden )
New photo
Change British national status (from British National overseas to British Citizen)
Is there anyone who has experience with this ? I would be really grateful for your help.
P.S. The application was not successful few years ago due to the one name policy, I am really worried it will fail again, please help.
Many thanks
