ILR application - 2 VALID PASSPORTS

Post by Miafree » Sun Apr 08, 2018 2:09 am

Hello guys, can you please advise ?
I have 2 valid passports. The original one has almost no free pages left and a new one has been issued, which I have already used for touristic visits. Should i report about my new passport to Home Office before my ILR application ? And should I apply with the new one ?

My understanding is, for an application for ILR, you may have to include all passports held while in the UK, regardless if they are expired or valid.

You may not need to inform them, but, you should include all of them in your application

I' am also certain, when a new passport is issued, the previous passport weather it is or was valid when the new one was issued will be cancelled or invalid on their systems.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Agree - just need to submit both passports when applying for ILR.
Some countries do issue two valid passports (I know Finland is one) mainly to frequent travellers.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.
