Premium Service for ILR (6 years route)

Post by khalidhaku » Tue Apr 10, 2018 10:51 pm

Dear all,

I got DLR in Jun 2012 and extended for next 3 years on Dec 15 (I got after 6 months), my ILR is due now in Dec 2018, I applied political asylum which was refused and after 3-1/2 years got DLR (6 years route) in Jun 2012.

My two question: 1. can I apply my ILR with premium Service 2. My 6 years will complete in Jun 2018, can I apply in Jun 2018 or in Dec 2018.

Thanks & Regards,

You would count 6 years from initial grant date, which is June 2012 to June 2018, anytime waiting for a your extension so as long as you made an intime application would count towards the 6 years DLR required for an application of ILR.

You may apply 28 days before or within completing your qualifying period of 6 years DLR.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Thank you so much.

What about premium service?

Regards,
As you where granted DLR after a refused asylum application, normally you would use form FRL(DL) this does not have the premium (PSC) option and is postal only.

However as of late, many people of the same category as you that where granted DLR after a failed asylum application, used the form Set(O) with the optional PSC service (premium) and where successful.

Here is a link to the post and users that applied similar to your category that where successful.

If you scroll down to near the middle you will get a list of users/members which I linked into their threads. You will also get a lot, and I mean A LOT (hopefully) of information, from documents, to general questions and maybe more.

This should help you, if you require more info just ask on this thread.

Click this link remember, scroll down the middle and do note, since that post was made, many more members have successfully attained ILR on similar category of DLR.

You have tagged your questions onto the end of another member's thread, which not only causes confusion but is also unfair to the OP. Neither does your friend's situation have any relevance to the issues here. Please wait for a response in your own topic.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
