Hi!
Due ILR in July 2019. Husband, British citizen by birth and single income, one 2 year old child. His income has been £24000 since September but (without paperwork) reduced to 20000 since November. I am on a zero hours contract and make £85.95 gross per week and none some weeks. We went single income last year and this is just off and on. I receive a scholarship which goes on my fees and I top up £1000 more per year. It's been hard. We get child benefit, of course, but as he is the earner, can he apply for anything without my name on it? He has now (yay!) got a job for £26000 and we will move but it's getting a bit heavy moving twice across the country, childcare, health and stuff. So I want to look into it, if possible.
What benefits can he apply for that would take just him into account as a citizen supporting a family instead of using me as part of the equation?
Thanks for any advice...
