Biometric request and statement of additional grounds

Post by Jkei » Fri Apr 13, 2018 11:58 pm

Hi All,

I applied for ilr end of last month after 6 years on dl. Last week I received an email acknowledgement letter. Today I received the letter for biometric which was dated a day before the email date.

In the same package, there was another letter "statement OF additional GROUNDS".

During my last biometric request, this letter was not included.

For those who have applied for ilr recently, did you receive such letter and if so did you return it to home office or you just did the biometric. It is a very confusing letter.

Another question, can they ask for biometric if they have not already granted ilr.

Thanks and good luck to all.

It's a standard form sent usually to people who have had discretionary leave. You need to outline if there are any other grounds that you are seeking to stay in the UK. Most people tick A and sent back

Thanks Zimba88.

Sorry to ask but the form does not say where to return to. Do you think it is the address on the biometric letter - UK Visa and immigration, The capital building, Liverpool, L3 9PP.

Thanks for your help.

My understanding there should be a return address on the back if the original envelope itself.
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

The return address appears to be the same location. Probably different department or building - Home office, The capital, New Hall Place, L3 9PP
