Tier 2 Dependent Visa for Live-in/ Civil Partner

Post by carmarie » Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:00 pm

I hold a tier 2 general visa for 3 months now. The visa will be valid for 3 years. I am planning to sponsor my live-in partner in the Philippines under the dependent visa this 2018. I have already prepared the following documents:

1. Proof of cohabitation (documents showing that we have been living in the same address for the last two years-- 6 documents from each of us)
2. BRP
3. Passport
4. Joint account Bank statement
5. Individual bank statements showing maintenance funds
6. Tenancy Agreement where we will live here in the UK
7. Proof of relationship

I have the following questions:
1. Do I need an employment certificate from my sponsor?
2. Does my partner need to take the IELTS?
3. Am i missing other documents?

Thank you in advance for the replies.
