any advantages traveling to other countries with ilr permit

Hi folks,

might be a long shot but i wanted to know if there are any countries that give visa free or a concession along those lines for UK ilr permit holders? I ask this because i know that i dont need to apply for a visa anymore beforehand for Mexico because i have ilr. They have a policy for British Permanent residents.

I wonder if there are any other countries that may have such policy? And where to find such information? I only know about Mexico because i applied for a visa couple of years ago and found out the face about ilr holders, as i didnt have it at the time.

I can vouch that Turkey allows anybody with a valid long-term residence visa (need not be ILR or equivalent) - i.e. not a visit visa - from either a Schengen country, the US or the UK to get visas on arrival.

ah really? Are you sure I dont have to apply for turkish visa before hand with Pakistani passport? given, obviously, that I have permanent residency in the UK. Because I was really thinking about making a trip to Turkey.
