We have found ourselves in a strange situation and don't know what to do
We applied for an early tier 2 extension. Despite our asking the employer to keep start date within 3 months (as advised on this forum) they didn't and kept it at end of original end visa date if main applicant that is 5 October justifying it was as it was and nothing would go wrong. The msin applicant tried to convince them, gave up and we applied anyway ... Well 7 weeks after applying ukvi contacted employer asking them to amend date on COS on 10 April. Employer didn't. Now today the employer tells this on 17 April saying that we need to reapply near October.
We are in a fix
It doesn't sound like visa extension was rejected, rather needs date fixing to process but the employer thinks it's rejected.
What will happen to the dependants visa .. Theirs expired on 17 march.
We can't understand why employer can't simply bring forward the date as ukvi has asked them to and most importantly how long does ukvi keep case open as we only found out today but they had contacted employer on the 10th.. The main applicant will speak to HR now tomorrow. The employer to is nhs.
Is all lost. Very worried.
