Application for Residence Card-waiting time

Post by Maan_david » Wed Apr 18, 2018 1:39 pm

Hi! I'm just new here. A non eea married to an eea national. I just want to ask how long does it take for a residence card to be approved. I posted it last 29/03/18 and was received last 4/04/18 as well as the payment and I haven't received any confirmation from the home office as well as the request for biometrics as what I have read online. My husband is working now and I wanted to work too but I can't because I need to have the residence card. I can't find online how long should it take to process. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Mugen! Thanks for the reply. I'm applying for residence card and it's my first time. Is it the same as permanent residence card?

Hi
Did you apply for residence card after getting family permit ?. If yes could you please confirm if you provided evidence of relationship again as you did for family permit?

Hi! Just to inform. I received my application last 20th of April. And it was rejected. They said it was lacking evidence, that we didn't provide proof that my husband is exercising his treaty of rights as an eea national. We're planning to reapply together with evidences. Thanks for the info!

Hi. Just to inform you again. I had sent again my application with evidences that my husband is exercising his treaty rights (email from employers-agency, payslips) and with those documents my application is now on process. Below are the details of my application.

Payment taken: 09/05/2018
Home Office Email: 16/05/18
Biometrics letter received: 18/05/2018
Biometrics enrolled: 19/05/2018
COA With Work : 26/05/2018

They said it will take 6 months for the whole process but I'm hoping it will come soon. :)
