Driving Without Insurance and ILR

Post by allain » Wed Apr 18, 2018 2:54 pm

Hi Guys
Today morning i was caught by Police driving car without insurance. My ILR is also due this month. The police told me they will send me letter explaining what to do.
I asked them if i have to go to the court or not they said they will let me know by letter.

I want to ask if i can apply ILR this month or have to wait 3 years?

Made a big mistake anyways, wanted to save £50 of insurance a month but now will pay a hefty price Plus points Plus headache and more expensive insurance after Points.

You will not be able to apply for ILR for 24 months from the date of any court conviction. You could be summoned to the court, fined and convicted there as driving without insurance is taken quite seriously now.

Hi today i received a letter from police they awarded me 6 points and £350 fine out of court FPN, they also asked my driving license to be sent at their address to get the points.

I want to ask if i will be fine for ILR as this is out of court fine.
i will keep update this thread...

Should not affect your ILR as this will not be recorded on your criminal record
