Do Refugees have to worry about DBS?

Post by Adamco22 » Sat Apr 21, 2018 1:25 pm

Hello

Hope all is well with you, I just wonder about the standard DBS check that is required from me to get a job in the Healthcare sector, I hold a refugee status but as part of my asylum period before getting decision I used to go and sign at the police station. I just wonder does this actually hinder my DBS certificate or is it considered a a crime or something that will show up on the DBS?

Thank you for the advice in advance

Adam

Hello,

No, your DBS will be clean as the police reporting is a Home Office standard rule in keeping track of any individual who applies for a status as a refugee.
