CoS Start Date Amendments

Hi all,

I received a CoS from the April allocation and noticed the start date for the 3 years is May 1st. I have not yet applied for the Tier 2 Visa yet.

Considering Tier 2 applications processing times are in excess of 1 month can I get this start date amended?

Furthermore, once I am granted the Tier 2 Visa what is the last date I must be in the U.K. by?

Just did some reading on the guidance from the HOs official site. Looks like dates can be amended provided revised start date is within 3 months of receiving the COS.

start and end date – you can amend either or both of these dates but you should remember that a restricted CoS must be assigned within 3 months of it being allocated to your SMS account
