Ancestry Visa Funds

Post by mandyland » Wed Apr 25, 2018 5:29 pm

Hi all,
I'm planning on coming to England to work as a teacher (I already have a job lined up) on the ancestry visa. I have all the required ancestry documents, however I have some concerns about the bank statements. I understand that I need to have at least 1,600 pounds in my account at the time of the application, however I am worried about the statements for the last 90 days.
I am a student, and I accrued a lot of credit card debt over the years. I paid the cards off last week, however it left me with very little funds remaining. As such, my father is gifting me $5000 CAD as a graduation gift. I am planning on declaring it in the online application, as it is a sudden sum of money that was deposited. I have a part time job, and have regular income coming in as well. As such, the bank statements for the last 90 days (if needed) will be a little all over the place.
Do you think this will affect my application at all?
