UK Tax

Hi Guys and girls

My wife is due to extend her family visa later this year but ive recently started working offshore for a swiss company therefore i dont pay any UK tax. According to my fellow colleagues-when submitting my tax return to the UK i will put this down as seafarers tax deductions because i work on a moving vessel in different parts of the world.

Does anyone see this as being a problem even if im making HMRC aware of my situation etc...

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
